Biography
Carlito Holt has over 22 years of experience. Carlito has conducted and reviewed numerous traffic and environmental impact studies for small- and large-scale development proposals throughout the metropolitan area. He also has represented various government agencies including municipalities, counties and states, including conducting reviews of projects such as Legoland in Goshen and North 60 in Mount Pleasant, as well as preparing intersection plans and roadway design.
Carlito is a Professional Engineer in multiple states (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island) as well as being a Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. His expertise is in engineering fields with work descriptions that include intersection improvements, pedestrian improvements, traffic calming, master plans, area-wide studies, corridor studies, Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), individual traffic impact studies and parking studies.
Carlito is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) as well as the ITE Transportation Safety Council and the ITE Transportation Consultant Council. He has made presentations on Traffic Calming to various organizations in the area.
He has a Civil Engineering Degree from Villanova University. He is active in numerous organizations, serving as an officer in some, including being a Board Member for the Westchester/Putnam Chapter of the New York State Professional Engineering Society, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Sullivan County Partnership. He is also a member of the Business Council of Westchester, Westchester County Association, Orange County Partnership, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the Westchester County Association of Municipal Public Works Administrators (WCAMPWA).
